TIMING BELTS

The Timing Belt and related components are one of the most important parts on today's engines. Most of the engines today are higher compression, higher performance engines with lower tolerances and tighter fits, so when a timing belt breaks, or stretches, valves hit pistons and bend. The cost of repairing that is so much that replacing the engine is more cost effective. The sad part is that it is very avoidable.

Replacing the Timing Belt is not the only component that need to be replaced. There are idler and tensioner bearings, timing belt driven water pumps, and hydraulic tensioners. Any one of these parts fail and it's the same result as a broken belt.

You should always do your homework when choosing someone to replace the Timing Belt. Their qualifications are paramount. Ours are impeccable.

What Happens When Components Fail:

When a timing belt breaks or the system fails to maintain the proper tension and synchronization, valves can collide with pistons inside the engine - resulting catastrophic damage and an immobile vehicle.
